Regret updating

Horrible slow downs and crashes.
This version of FCPx is so so much slower than the previous version. I was happy enough with FCP before but now it’s unbelievably slow and I can’t seem to get it back to where it was. Using a year old Imac 5k with highest graphics and cpu available…and this is how it runs? Give me a break.
With every session at least one crash. This program CRASHES way too often.
I thought updating to Mac Sierra would help….it didnt. it just got worse.
I wouldn’t recommend updating
